The International Association of Natural Textile Industry (IVN)

Preserving our environment with its people, animals, plants and landscapes is not a fashion whim.  Sustainability, respect for our environment and responsible business practices are longterm guiding principles for each of our member businesses who number over 70.  It is our goal to translate these principles into all levels of the textile chain and to share this work and conviction with as many as possible.

IVN awards two quality seals for eco-friendly products under its own auspices: NATURTEXTIL und NATURLEDER. The association has established standards for these quality seals which are recognized as groundbreaking for the entire industry.

IVN is a member of IWG, the International Working Group on Global Organic Textile Standard.  This alliance of various national groups active for eco-friendly products  awards an internationally recognized seal for eco-friendly textiles: the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

Goals aund Business

IVN aims to establish and further an awareness for ecology, social accountability, health and quality.  By defining comprehensive and stringent standards dealing with these issues as well as establishing readily identifiable labels for products meeting them, IVN hopes to inform the public, assure ecological quality and further the deliberate choice for eco-friendly textile and leather products.
